Welder

As an important member of the Fabrication team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all steel is welded and fabricated to a high standard so that it can be progressed to the next stage of manufacturing.

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Clean steel before, during and at the end of use.
• Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
• Weld/fabricate steel component parts.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Ensure all works comply with quality procedures.
• Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance to all general site rules, regulations, policies & procedures.
• Perform any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
• Adhere to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Adhere to company health and safety procedures.

• Previous experience of MIG welding to a high standard in a work environment.
• Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proven measurement and mathematical skills.
• Previous experience of TIG welding to a high standard in a work environment.
• Previous experience in the same industry would be regarded advantageous.
