Civil Estimator & Cost Planner

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Calculate quantities, costs, and resources required for civil engineering projects.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain quotations and validate costs.
• Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions.
• Conduct risk assessments and account for potential contingencies in estimates.
• Assist in contract negotiations by providing accurate cost information.
• Maintain a database of historical costs, rates, and supplier information.
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and contracts teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
• Provide input to project planning and scheduling processes based on cost considerations.
