Site Manager; Building

Position: Site Manager (House Building) (Permanent)
We are a well-established, design-led regional house builder recognised for delivering high-quality, contemporary homes and excellent customer satisfaction. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead a residential development in Durham.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme, to the highest quality standards, and with a strong customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Full site management from groundwork through to handover

Managing subcontractors and direct labour to meet programme and quality targets

Ensuring compliance with H&S, NHBC, Building Regulations and company procedures

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation across the site

Coordinating materials, deliveries and logistics

Working closely with the Project Manager, Technical and Commercial teams

Managing quality inspections, snagging and customer handovers

Maintaining accurate site records, reports and RAMS

About You

Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential house building (Essential)

Strong knowledge of traditional build housing

Able to drive programmes and manage multiple trades effectively

High standards for quality, health & safety, and customer satisfaction

Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach

Qualifications

SMSTS

CSCS (Black or Gold)

First Aid at Work

NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (or equivalent) - Essential
