A new opportunity has become available for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a specialist environmental contractor based in Durham, delivering both geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering and consultancy services.

This position is ideal for a junior Geo-Environmental Engineer with industry experience who is looking to further develop their technical skillset within a knowledgeable and supportive team. You will receive continued training and mentoring while working on a variety of technically challenging projects, including large-scale infrastructure and environmental schemes.

The role will involve working across a broad range of sectors, including transport, industrial, residential, commercial, and redevelopment projects. Key responsibilities will include site walkovers, ground investigations, geotechnical and geo-environmental assessments, factual and interpretive reporting, geotechnical analysis, risk assessments, and contributing to remediation strategies.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong reputation in the North East, offering long-term progression and exposure to both site-based and consultancy-led work.

Essential Criteria :

BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Previous experience in a geotechnical or geo-environmental role
Live within a commutable distance to the Durham office
Full UK driving licence
