Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical leader to join our multidisciplinary team at HMP Durham. The role is fast paced and diverse, whilst incredibly rewarding and interesting. You would be joining a unique Prison Healthcare Service providing cover across pathways including Primary Care, Urgent Care, Inpatients, Substance Misuse & Early Days in Custody.
Responsibilities- Accountable for delivery of the contract including monitoring performance and delivery against key performance indicators.
- Support the Head of Services by overseeing day to day operations across the Healthcare Department and supporting strategic development and service improvement.
- Motivate and elevate the team through robust clinical supervision and continuous professional growth.
- Lead senior leadership in complex environment, implementing organisational change and delivering successful outcome.
- Maintain effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Registered Health Care Professional with current appropriate registration (e.g., Nurse with NMC membership).
- Degree or equivalent in relevant subject area or equivalent level of experience.
- Management or leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development at postgraduate level, including delivery of evidence-based care.
- Experience at senior level in a management operational role within a healthcare environment, working in a complex environment with multi health professionals.
- Knowledge of Health & Social Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
- Experience of leading teams to implement organisational change and delivering a successful outcome.
- Experience of effectively managing a service working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience of understanding vulnerable groups and complexity presented.
- Prescribing qualification.
- Experience of conducting and supporting research.
- Experience of working with Commissioners.
- Experience of managing offender care or secure units.
- Experience of working in substance misuse services.
