Locum Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. This flexible role offers the opportunity for full‑time or part‑time hours, with weekday shifts from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The role can be focused on consultations only, or a mix of consultations and operations, depending on your preference. No out‑of‑hours or weekend work is required, making this position ideal for those seeking a great work–life balance.

• Conduct consultations, providing thorough examinations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for a wide variety of cases.
• Option to perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required, depending on preference.
• Provide excellent communication with clients, delivering advice on treatment plans, post‑operative care, and general pet care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Strong experience in small animal consultations and/or surgery, depending on your chosen focus.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
