Our client is a leading infrastructure contractor working across the Railway, Highways and Power sectors, and specialising in the delivery of sustainable mechanical, electrical and telecommunication engineering solutions.
They have recently tendered and been awarded a number of Major Project M&E packages and are looking to build a project delivery and commercial team, with over 5 years guaranteed work.
They are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in both pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector, who is able to drive efficiencies and foster effective supply chain engagement.

Senior Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Manage and administer NEC3/4 Option C Contracts.
Lead the review and valuation of contractor payment applications in line with contractual terms and conditions.
Liaise and negotiate with the Customer's Commercial and Project teams.
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure commercial records are maintained in accordance with contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.
Investigate and draft contract communications and notices, including Early Warning Notices and notifications of Compensation Events.
Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial, Technical, and Construction Delivery teams.
Monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects.
Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or equivalent construction related qualification.
Previous Main contractor and/or joint venture experience within the rail industry.
Experience managing M&E packages of work an advantage.
Proficient in managing NEC3-4 contracts
Experienced in negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages
Experienced in self-delivery of projects from pricing and award, through to final accounts.
Experience managing and developing junior commercial staff.
