Volunteer Mentor - Ealing (multiple locations)
MCR Pathways are seeking volunteer mentors over the age of 21, to work in Ealing to make a life changing difference to a disadvantaged young person! Mentoring is on site (either in a school or council premises) with young people between the age of 14 and 18. The requirement is an hour a week during term time, with a minimum commitment of a year, ideally longer.
The mentor's role is simply to listen and build a relationship and trust with that young person on a one to one basis, to champion that young person and help them find their talent and reach their potential. We believe young people should be defined by their talent not their circumstances!
- Provide one-to-one mentoring to young people aged 14 to 18 on site at schools or council premises.
- Listen, build trust, and support the mentee to identify talents and reach potential.
- Commit to approximately one hour per week during term time, for a minimum of one year (ideally longer).
- Over 21 years old; willingness to work with disadvantaged young people.
- Training will be provided by MCR Pathways to prepare you for mentoring roles.
- Opportunity to make a positive difference in a young person’s life.
- Personal development and the chance to develop mentoring and interpersonal skills.
We are happy to be flexible on location and/or times if required.
