Trade Counter Sales Assistant – Hanwell

£32,000 per annum
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday: 7:30 am – 10:30 am

Vanta Staffing is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Trade Counter Sales Assistant for our client in Hanwell. The role’s primary objective is to deliver exceptional customer service while maximising branch sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective relationships with customers to understand their needs and supply the correct products.
Proactively identify sales opportunities, offering expert advice and tailored solutions.
Maintain a clean, well-organised, and attractively merchandised counter area in accordance with company policy.
Collaborate efficiently with team members to consistently exceed customer expectations.
Ensure adherence to company policies when preparing sales documentation.
Communicate with suppliers, other branches, and departments as required.
Support the Branch Manager and colleagues to ensure smooth and effective branch operations within company guidelines.
Undertake additional duties such as stock-taking, placing supplier orders, and customer follow-ups as necessary.
Keep shop stock clean, clearly labelled, well organised, and promptly report low stock levels to Branch Management.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety regulations.

Person Specification:

Proven experience in a Trade Counter Sales Assistant role.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment.
Strong communication skills, capable of building positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
Reliable and committed to delivering a high standard of service
