Senior Bookkeeper

TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly successful, top tier accountancy practice with the recruitment of an experienced Senior Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of bookkeeping, with a primary focus on sole traders, alongside some support for partnerships and limited companies.

Our client is a leading firm of chartered certified accountants with a strong reputation in its specialist sector. The practice supports a large and diverse client base and is known for its professional standards, expertise, and client focused approach. Due to continued success, they are now looking to expand their bookkeeping team.

Key responsibilities will include:
Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts
Entering financial data into accounting software, primarily Xero
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Identifying and recording inconsistencies to support reconciliation work
Providing occasional support to Client Managers with the preparation of year end accounts

Requirements The ideal candidate will have:
Proven bookkeeping experience, particularly with sole traders
Some exposure to partnerships and limited companies, which would be beneficial but not essential
A good working knowledge of Xero, although full training will be provided
Knowledge of SAGE and CCH, which would be advantageous but not essential
A professional, personable, and client focused approach
The ability to commute reasonably to East Grinstead

This is a client facing role and would suit someone who enjoys building strong working relationships while delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping support.

Salary and Benefits
Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Overtime paid when required
Employer pension contribution of 3.5 percent
