Reed Crawley is excited to partner with a leading firm of chartered certified accountants, renowned for their expertise in VAT, taxation, and accounting affairs, particularly clients in the legal industry. They are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. This role focuses primarily on bookkeeping for sole traders, with additional responsibilities for partnerships and limited companies.

• Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software, primarily Xero.
• Completing VAT returns and assisting in the preparation of yearly accounts when necessary.
• Recording any inconsistencies to aid Accountants in reconciling inaccuracies.
• Providing occasional support to Client Managers.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly for sole traders; knowledge of partnerships and limited companies is beneficial but not essential.
• A good working knowledge of Xero is preferred; however, full training will be provided.
• Familiarity with SAGE and CCH is useful but not mandatory.
• Professional attitude and personable demeanour, as this is a client-facing role.
• Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance of East Grinstead.
