Our Tesco Colleague pay rate starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexibility for 12 hours as minimum for those who prefer fewer hours.

We will schedule your contracted hours within these periods, and you’ll receive 3‑week notice of shift details.

• Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within my store.
• Work across the store in our service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
• Apply the training you have received so that we all work safely, effectively and serve our customers brilliantly.
• Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
• Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Understand your store’s performance, what you can do to drive service and sales, reduce waste, shrink and deliver profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow our policies.
• At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
