Position: Tesco Shift Leader - Days - Southwold Queen St Express
Location: Southwold

Tesco Shift Leader — Days – Southwold Queen St Express

Pay: Starts at £14.76 per hour, rising to £15.97 inside the M25. Additional payments may apply.

Hours: Minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility down to 12 hours.

About the Role

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As Shift Leader you will lead and coordinate the store, ensuring smooth operations and superior customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Run duty shifts in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Coordinate the team to keep the store clean, stocked and customer‑friendly.
  • Engage with customers, ensuring they leave satisfied.
  • Coach and give feedback to colleagues to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Support shop‑floor and shop‑at‑home staff, ensuring a safe workplace.
  • Analyze store performance and assist managers with action plans.
  • Lead from the front and set an example for the team.
  • Open and close the store, complete duty coverage, and make safe decisions.
  • Answer day‑to‑day queries in the manager’s absence.
  • Keep the store well‑presented and remove any obstacles to service.
  • Follow and promote health and safety routines.
  • Recognise and celebrate exceptional service from colleagues.
