We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Team Leader - Older People at East Sussex County Council
.

In this development role you will spend the first 12 months enhancing your leadership skills and learning the Team Leader role through working on ‘duty’ and being the first point of contact for Support Workers, providing advice including evenings and weekends. You will take the lead on a key service area, for example medication and equality & diversity and first visits.
During this 12‑month period you will work towards completing the Team Leader Level 3 apprenticeship, and your salary will be at Single Status 7. After the 12‑month development period you will line‑manage a team of Support Workers/Lead Support Workers and oversee client review visits and monitor the progression of clients. Upon commencement of these duties your salary will increase to Single Status 8.

- Can work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Is willing to participate in training and development programmes.
- Has the ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
- Is self‑motivated and has the ability to motivate and encourage others.
- Job requires a valid driving licence and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
- Shifts between 7 am and 10 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Eligibility for sponsorship: please inform the hiring manager if you require sponsorship to work in the UK.
- Required checks:
Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services; overseas police check may be required if you have lived or worked abroad.
