We are expanding our team at our Dumfries office, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing a diverse, well-established portfolio of forest properties. You would join a dynamic, driven team with a range of experience represented and be supported by a raft of expertise from within the organisation. demonstrable forestry experience and relevant academic qualifications, we are seeking an experienced Senior Forest Manager to join our team. The ability to undertake most aspects of the roles and responsibilities of a Forestry Works Manager is important for the Senior Forest Manager role.

To be successful in this role you must be professional, self-motivated and be capable of working on your own and as part of a team. You will have proven operational experience in a similar role where you have been involved with woodland management and direct client communication. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, be IT literate and have a sound knowledge of silviculture and Scotland’s Forestry Grant Scheme.

Experience of working with contractors, project management and managing health & safety are all highly desirable.

Ideally, applicants should have relevant academic qualifications, though this isn’t considered essential, and hold a current full valid driving licence (essential for the role). Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or progressing towards attaining chartered status or another similar professional qualification is preferred, but not essential.
