Tax Manager

Salary - Salary £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Hours - Full or part time hours considered, FT Hours 37.5 per week Monday to Friday, hybrid working

Holiday - 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join our Southampton/Bournemouth office on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexible hybrid working available.

Working closely with our Group Head of Tax and the central tax team, your focus will be on internal technical support, quality control, and advisory work-not day-to-day client management. This internal focus also means no timesheets!

• Undertaking internal cold and hot file reviews for both corporate and personal tax
• Supporting the groups partners on technical tax queries
• Assisting with the groups internal tax reporting
• Assisting with acquisition due diligence
• Providing support to the tax partner and senior tax managers on tax advisory projects
• Undertaking technical research, across multiple taxes, as needed

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• ACCA / ACA / CTA Qualified
• Significant relevant accountancy practice experience, ideally with a mixed tax compliance and advisory background
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding
• Technical proficiency and good IT skills specifically intermediate Excel.
