The Role
To manage the planning, scheduling, performance, and reporting of MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) operational service contracts whilst ensuring the required levels of service & financial governance are met. Ensuring all planned works are being delivered in accordance to schedule whilst ensuring improvement strategies and programmes are in place to enable Southern Water to enhance performance year on year.
To work collaboratively with the respective contract managers on any required changes to existing contracts and establishing of new contracts within Frameworks, as required.
- Act as the single interface between Southern Water and operational contractors.
- Manage and be accountable for MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) contractor performance.
- Coordinate, schedule, and plan planned/reactive maintenance for cost-efficient and compliant delivery.
- Collaborate with Operational and Field Performance Managers to address evolving business needs, legislation, and strategy changes.
- Work with Commercial/Category Managers and external account managers to drive continuous improvement.
- Translate new requirements and improvement strategies into contract changes or new contracts.
- Ensure accurate management information and reporting for operational contracts.
- Maintain full Health & Safety compliance across all contract activities.
- Manage and monitor planned contracted OPEX spend.
- Oversee workflow with contract planner, ensuring governance compliance.
- Ensure company systems (Maximo & MTM) accurately reflect planned maintenance by contractors.
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and people skills
- Attention to detail and stakeholder awareness
- A broad technical/operational knowledge together with contract management expertise is desirable.
- Experience in water industry.
