Security Supervisor

Position: Security Supervisor (full‑time, permanent)

Equans is looking for multiple Security Supervisors to join our team for the Southern Water contracts in Otterbourne (SO21 2SW
). This role involves working 42 hours per week and requires a competitive salary of £31,054, along with an attractive benefits package.

4 on 4 off – Day Shift 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.

All candidates must have their own means of transport (car, motorbike or bicycle) as there is no public transport available near the site.

You will be employed by Equans and support the Southern Water contracts. The role involves maintaining high standards of security, monitoring and controlling access, conducting patrols (up to 10 km), responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, deterring criminal activities, and preventing unauthorised access.

• Front‑of‑house management and regular building inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Operate security protocols, access control systems and other security technology
• Document control – prepare AI’s, risk assessments and incident reports
• Maintain a good standard of customer service and clearance procedures
• Supervise daily security team operations and enforce security policies
• Perform security risk assessments and continuously seek improvements in processes and team efficiency

• A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) License
• Proven experience in a security role or a related field
• Experience managing a security team
• First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Experience with access control systems and other security technology
• Clear criminal background check
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts calmly and effectively
• Basic computer literacy for logging reports and accessing security systems
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends
