Freight Coordinator

Our client, a leading logistics specialist in providing freight management and dangerous goods movement, are recruiting for a Freight Coordinator for their expanding team at offices based locally to Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Main Purpose of the Freight Coordinator
Reporting to the Freight Manager, the main focus of the position will initially be on the road and courier operations and later dealing with all modes of transport – both import and export.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Freight Co-ordinator
 
* Provide start to finish freight forwarding services for both import and export consignments across Multi Modal transportation (Air, Sea, Road)
 
* Provide high levels of customer service with an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels.
 
* Provide freight rates and quotations.
 
* Produce Bills of lading and letters of credit
 
* Completion of customs clearances
To Be Considered:
 
* Good working knowledge of import and export working for a freight forwarder
 
* Must have good written communications skills and importantly the ability to problem-solve.
 
* Customer care is a vital part of this role and so good interpersonal skills are very important.
