Position: Freight Coordinator – Multi-Modal Operations
Location: Chandlers Ford
Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

, the business supports complex freight movements across the UK and Europe. As the company enters an exciting phase of growth through 2025 and beyond, they are now seeking a Freight Coordinator to join their close-knit operations team in Chandlers Ford.

The Role:

Freight Coordinator – Multi-Modal Operations

In this role, you will manage end-to-end freight movements across multiple transport modes
, acting as the central point of coordination between customers, carriers, and internal teams. You’ll ensure shipments move efficiently, compliantly, and on time-delivering a high-quality service across European and UK networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multi-modal freight operations including road, air, and sea for import and export consignments.
  • Manage European road freight movements and time-critical courier shipments.
  • Oversee shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring full operational visibility.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining clear and proactive communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Prepare and issue freight quotations, rates, and service options.
  • Produce and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and Letters of Credit where required.
  • Complete customs documentation and ensure compliance with import/export procedures.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with in the UK freight, transport, or logistics sector (road freight, courier, or multi-modal experience preferred).
  • A strong understanding of operational freight processes and documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience with hazardous or dangerous goods is advantageous but not essential-full training will be provided.
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
