- Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check; if assessed as a regulated role, you will need to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
- The post is part‑time: salary pro‑rata, 18.5 hours per week (0.5 WTE), Monday to Friday (morning shifts). Some days will be four hours, others 3.25 hours.
Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital; expect to cross‑cover other acute/community sites across NHS Lothian.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Quit Your Way Tobacco Control Team.
- Manage calendars and scheduling for team members.
- Maintain patient correspondence and update the National Smoking Cessation database.
- Assist in the collection and capture of performance data for the Local Delivery Plan.
- Travel as required to acute sites such as Western General Hospital.
- Support quality control aspects and general clerical duties for the Tobacco Control Practitioners.
- Good understanding of administration and clerical tasks.
- Experience developing IT skills and using standard software programmes.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- Motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
