Overview
Morgan Hunt are currently supporting a Public Sector client in their search for Maintenance Quantity Surveyor for an immediate start. Contract position - 6 month - Edinburgh.
Responsibilities- Undertake quantity surveying responsibilities with a particular focus on contractor works.
- Carry out additional due diligence checks on contractor quotations and cost proposals.
- Review and identify opportunities for savings through analysis of scopes, rates, and methodologies.
- Assess scoping issues to ensure works are accurately defined and align with project requirements.
- Conduct value for money checks on contractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Provide assurance on costs and support the delivery of projects within agreed budgets.
- Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.
- Support risk management by highlighting potential cost, scope, or compliance concerns.
