The Role
An established and highly regarded planning and development consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior / Associate Planner to join its growing Scottish team. Based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and high-profile development projects across Scotland.
The successful Senior / Associate Planner will play a key role in providing strategic planning advice, managing planning applications, and supporting the continued growth of the business in the Scottish market.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage planning applications, appeals and development strategies

· Provide clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients

· Interpret and apply Scottish planning policy and legislation

· Liaise and negotiate with local planning authorities and key stakeholders

· Mentor and support junior members of the planning team

· Contribute to client relationship management and business development activities
Candidate Requirements

· Proven experience in a planning consultancy environment

· Strong knowledge of the Scottish planning system and policy framework

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively

· RTPI membership (MRTPI or LRTPI) or working towards accreditation

· Experience operating at Senior Planner or Associate level
