Job Overview
The role is a Staff Writer position within our Content Team, contributing to Editorial, Marketing & Events. Our content is focussed on news, trends, and insights across the business technology landscape - from developments at the leading global tech firms, to the latest innovation from the Scottish start-up ecosystem.
The position will involve producing news, features, and interviews for the DIGIT News website, and supporting the creation of conference programmes and marketing materials for events. The Staff Writer would help ensure that all content is produced to a high quality, and adheres to an excellent standard of accuracy, relevance, and readability.
The team also collaborate internally with the events department, and play an active role in growing the brand and engaging with the top external stakeholders from the national tech community.
Key Requirements- Excellent standard of written English
- Experience producing online / print journalism, commercial copy, or marketing
- Strong proofreading and copyediting abilities
- Capable of research and media monitoring
- Good with SEO, social media, and CRM platforms
- Good networking, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interested in business and technology
We operate a hybrid working policy. The editorial team spends the majority of their time working remotely, but the company office is based in Edinburgh, and candidates must have the ability to work from the Edinburgh office, and attend meetings and events as required.
