Role descriptionJoin the tech sector mega-projects. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. You will be part of the team delivering one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Norway or Finland.
Role accountabilities- Deliver distinct elements of projects or contribute to the delivery of overall programmes of work.
- Work independently, with a depth of technical knowledge and experience in the field.
- Use established financial procedures to assist in the production of basic plans and schedules, monitor and review financial information to identify anomalies or discrepancies, ensuring management has up-to-date and accurate project information.
- Contribute to a range of professional assignments, monitoring and supporting project delivery to time and quality standards.
- Independently collate and interpret data to prepare project plans and schedules.
- Analyse data and trends to develop simple recommendations supporting senior colleagues in decision‑making.
- Proactively monitor and evaluate existing project management processes, identify opportunities and advise on improvements.
- Complete complex, professional‑level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritise caseload and interpret established policies to support the project management function.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the business to provide specialist advisory support, acting as a focal point for operational project queries and ensuring alignment between policy and operational practice.
- Relevant business experience, including supporting large and complex projects.
- Good communication skills, including liaising with peers and senior colleagues and building and maintaining relationships.
- Commercial awareness and organisational understanding.
- A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to coordinate multi‑faceted aspects of projects.
- Self‑motivated and proactive, able to work independently.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Working towards a relevant professional certification or chartered status.
