We are hiring a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our Edinburgh office. This role will play a leading role in the development of our civil engineering team and the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious civil engineering design projects in the UK and worldwide.

Our Civil Engineering team prides itself on a track record of designing innovative and sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions, focused on improving and protecting the environment in which we live, while providing the facilities for day-to-day life and ensuring that transport and industry function effectively.

As one of the longest established of Cundall’s many disciplines, we offer a pro‑active and collaborative approach to skill development and professional excellence.

You will take responsibility for all aspects of design across a numerous and varied portfolio of civil engineering projects, primarily concerning infrastructure within the built environment. Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, as well as colleagues across a range of engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of technically excellent projects.

You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership (CEng).

• Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng) and working towards achieving chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in a Civil Engineering role within a consultancy environment, and well versed in relevant civil design software such as AutoCAD, Flow, Micro Drainage/Info drainage and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of the local construction market with experience in civil engineering design relating to the built environment, including the design of infrastructure for roads, drainage, flood risk assessments, pavements, public realm, earthworks, utility infrastructure for both highway and drainage authorities.
• Passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design, aligned with Cundall’s values.
