We are seeking a Technical Coordinator to join a large international team in Newcastle or Edinburgh, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of the Energy, Water and Infrastructure team with a focus on CDM and health and safety, but you will come from a technical design background.
Our client has a number of high-profile frameworks within the sector and is looking for a Technical design background. This is a fantastic role for a design engineer coming from most sectors who has an interest in developing and learning more skills within Health and Safety and CDM. Training and support will be provided for an engineer if you do not have experience with H&S.
You will work on a variety of Water projects including Flood and Coastal Defence, Green Infrastructure, Dams and Reservoirs and Sustainable Drainage systems. You will also support teams across the UK within the wider Structures, Development Infrastructure, Highways and land development teams.
You will support the Principal Designer with development plans to progress into the role within the coming years. You will adhere to project compliance with client management systems and internal systems, coordinate design risk management while maintaining and promoting health and safety legislations.
Responsibilities- Support the Principal Designer with development plans to progress towards the Principal Design Coordinator role.
- Coordinate design risk management and ensure compliance with health and safety legislations and client/internal management systems.
- Work on Water projects including Flood and Coastal Defence, Green Infrastructure, Dams and Reservoirs, and Sustainable Drainage Systems.
- Provide support to UK teams across Structures, Development Infrastructure, Highways and Land Development.
- Develop and apply Health and Safety and CDM knowledge within a technical design context.
- Experience in a technical design role.
- Interest in Health and Safety management, CDM, and progression toward Principal Design Coordinator.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Working towards or achieved chartership with a professionally accredited body.
- Clear and concise communication skills with ability to influence internal and external professionals.
