We are seeking a Technical coordinator to join a large international team in Newcastle or Edinburgh, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of the Energy, Water and Infrastructure team which will have a focus on CDM and health and safety but come from a technical design background.

Our client has a number of high profile frameworks within the sector and are looking for a technical design background. This is a fantastic role for a design engineer coming from most sectors who has an interest in developing and learning more skills within Health and Safety and CDM. There will be training and support provided for an engineer if you do not have experience with H&S.

You will work on a variety of Water projects including Flood and Coastal defence, Green Infrastructure, Dams and Reservoirs and Sustainable Drainage systems. You will also support teams across the UK within the wider Structures, development Infrastructure, Highways land development teams.

You will support the Principal Designer with development plans to get you up to the role within the coming years. You will adhere to project compliance with client management systems and internal systems, coordinate design risk management whilst maintaining and promoting health and safety legislations.

• Have come from a technical design role previously
• Have an interest in Health and safety management, CDM and look to aim to become the principal design coordinator
• Have a degree in a relevant engineering practise
• Working towards or have achieved chartership with a professionally accredited body
• Clear and concise communication skill and ability to influence internal and external professionals
