Location: City of Edinburgh

he Fabric Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance, repair, and improvement of building fabrics across our client portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of building structures, materials, and construction techniques.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct building fabric surveys and assessments
Develop and implement maintenance strategies for building exteriors and structures
Manage fabric-related projects, including repairs, renovations, and upgrades
Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and safety standards
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams
Provide technical advice and solutions for complex fabric issues
Manage budgets and resources for fabric maintenance and improvement projects
Stay updated on new materials, technologies, and best practices in building fabric management

Requirements :

Proven experience in building fabric management and maintenance
Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and relevant regulations
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in relevant software tools (, CAD, project management software)
Professional certifications (, RICS, CIOB) may be preferred
