SCADA Engineer - 9 months+ Extension - INSIDE IR35
- Please note this role is inside IR35
- 9 months contract - 2+ year programme
- Remote with occasional visits to office in Edinburgh a few times per month
Responsible for the performance, reliability, and ongoing improvement of business-critical Operational Technology (OT) applications and infrastructure. Acts as technical design authority, ensuring system upgrades, architecture changes, and support services meet agreed standards and service levels.
Experience- SCADA
- AVEVA PI
- GE Vernova Power On experience - or equivalent Siemens (Spectrum Power), Schneider (Eco Structure), Oracle Utilities, ABB etc
- ADMS system knowledge, OMS and / or DMS
- Drive continuous performance improvement of OT applications through enhanced monitoring, fault reduction, and strategic asset management planning.
- Serve as Design Authority for OT infrastructure, authorising architectural changes in collaboration with application suppliers, IT teams, network providers, and customers.
- Approve operational application upgrades, including Operational Acceptance Testing, handover to support, and key go / no-go decisions.
