Responsibilities- Manage and deliver a portfolio of studies within primary care settings, including commercial and non-commercial trials and trials of investigational medicinal products.
- Work closely with GP practices and community-based teams to ensure successful study delivery.
- Support recruitment, obtain informed consent, conduct clinical assessments, and ensure accurate data collection while maintaining patient safety in line with clinical trial regulations, research governance, and ICH Good Clinical Practice.
- Develop innovative strategies to meet recruitment targets and timelines.
- Collaborate with Investigators, Research Network Managers, and Clinical Teams across GP practices and community clinics.
- Register and operate within UK nursing regulations (Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA) as required.
- Educated to degree level or working towards this, or have equivalent experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and ability required for the role.
- Experience in clinical research delivery and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA of the UK NMC Register.
- The post is part of the Primary Care Research Delivery Team, NHS Lothian, Band
6. With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, with no change in full-time pay. - There is a legal requirement to demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom.
