Role OverviewThis role is for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract as a Lead Research Project Manager in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will coordinate and support the expanding portfolio of research, audit and service improvement projects within the Emergency Medicine Research Group Edinburgh (EMERGE).
Responsibilities- Ensure data relating to research projects and clinical research studies is collected and maintained to the highest quality standards.
- Provide organisational and administrative management to projects and clinical research studies.
- Promote and assist the ongoing development of systems and processes that support quality data collection and study information management.
- Work alongside senior research nurses and be supported by the EMERGE team.
- Experience working in research and/or the Emergency Department and/or acute care setting.
- Experience in clinical research and/or project management in these areas is advantageous.
- Understanding of the dynamic and challenging environment of the ED and its impact on research activity.
12‑month fixed term contract, 37hrs/week (full time). As from 1/4/26 the Agenda for full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to maintain pay.
Eligibility & RequirementsMust hold a PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current PVG member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.
To work in the United Kingdom, a relevant permission to work in the country is required, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.
