Field Application Engineer

Approov is a cutting-edge mobile security solution designed to protect apps, APIs, and users from a wide range of threats. We work with clients across industries, helping them secure their mobile applications, enhance API security, and build trust with their users. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated Application Engineer (EG01-UK-25) to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of making mobile experiences safe and secure.

This role will be based out of our Edinburgh UK or Los Angeles US office, but we will consider hybrid working for the right candidate.

As an Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting Approov's technical integrations, as well as contributing to marketing and sales initiatives.

• Assist in the integration of Approov mobile security solutions into customer applications.
• Provide technical support to customers, troubleshoot issues, and offer guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with the product team to test and implement new features.
• Maintain and update integration examples, SDKs, and API documentation to ensure customers can seamlessly adopt our solutions.

• Write technical blogs, articles, and use-case studies that showcase the real-world applications of Approov.
• Develop engaging tutorials and guides to demonstrate best practices for using Approov in various scenarios.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create educational content for webinars, whitepapers, and case studies.

• Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during customer meetings and product demonstrations.
• Assist in responding to technical questions and RFPs from prospective clients.
• Act as a technical advocate for Approov, contributing to social media content, developer forums, and community events.

• Experience in iOS and Android development
• Knowledge of mobile application security, including SSL pinning, reverse engineering prevention, and secure storage
• Familiarity with threat modeling and assessing security vulnerabilities
• Proficiency in integrating security SDKs and APIs
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in cloud computing environments is a plus
