Senior Enterprise Architect

Salary: £90,400 - £106,400
Hours:
Full time, 35 hours per week
Work pattern:
Hybrid – at least two days per week at an office site
We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the technology strategy for the Commercial Business Area. The role requires building relationships, providing thought leadership, owning the technology strategy, and aligning with wider Group strategies. You will be a confident, passionate individual who can build effective relationships at all levels, including Executive.
Responsibilities- Own architecture decisions and influence commercial teams to align with strategic roadmaps.
- Define strategic architecture for a business unit and collaborate with delivery teams to ensure designs reflect the vision.
- Collaborate with Commercial Platform owners and senior business partners across Commercial to evolve technologies and promote clear technology strategies.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, aligning with Group Enabling Platforms to achieve business outcomes.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships across platforms and functions, evangelise the Bank's strategies, and embed good architecture practices.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and a culture of learning within the commercial domain.
- Demonstrated experience in technology architecture, designing systems that meet business needs.
- Broad technology knowledge: domain-driven design, microservices, event-driven design, hybrid cloud, devops, CI/CD, data paradigms, cyber security, resilience, sustainability.
- Awareness of emerging technologies (Gen AI, quantum computing) and their business impact.
- Strong storytelling, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at Executive level.
- Experience in regulated environments, ideally the financial sector.
- Proven success establishing a culture of continuous improvement and driving innovation.
- Experience working in complex organisations with large customer bases and non-functional requirements.
- Ability to view challenges from multiple perspectives and translate requirements into detailed roadmaps.
