• Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

The Client Technology team at Aberdeen focuses on delivering exceptional experiences for colleagues and clients by placing them at the centre of everything we do. The Technology function drives the strategic direction and management of all IT systems, including system design, programming, network and budget planning, database management, and operations. The Application Development & Support area develops and maintains all internal and external applications, while the Web, Mobile, and Front-End team ensures seamless user experiences through expert design and support of distributed, object-oriented systems.

We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Client Technology team, focusing on the Azure-based application layer that powers our web-based client solutions. As the digital “shop window” for our clients, this team plays a pivotal role in delivering seamless, high-performing, and secure technology experiences.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about building cloud-integrated applications on Microsoft Azure, proactively solving complex technical challenges, and developing innovative solutions using modern Microsoft technologies. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting backend services and infrastructure that deliver scalable, secure, and highly reliable web solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based applications that power client-facing solutions.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.
• Design and develop APIs (including OpenAPI and OAuth).
• Implement automation and scripting using SQL, Azure CLI, and Power Shell.
• Support infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform.
• Design and manage CI/CD workflows through Azure Dev Ops.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant solutions.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance application performance across the Azure ecosystem.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Storage Account, Networking, App Services, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting (Azure CLI, Power Shell).
• Proficient in designing and developing APIs using .NET technologies (OpenAPI, OAuth).
• Experience with in infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform).
• Proficient in designing and managing CI/CD workflows within Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to development.
