Data Architect Lead

Are you a highly experienced Data Architect Lead?

Do you have experience delivering complex data services in a regulated environment, ideally within Financial Services?

We’re looking for a Data Architect Lead to spearhead the data architecture domain and deliver transformational change. You’ll lead the design and implementation of a new data platform, champion modern data standards, and drive adoption of emerging technologies like AI and ML.

This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll shape architecture practices, ensure compliance, and develop a high-performing team.

It’s hybrid working from their Edinburgh office (circa 2 days a week in the office) so only locally based candidates should apply.

• Develop and maintain a strategic enterprise architecture plan.
• Design and evolve robust data architecture solutions aligned with business needs.
• Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies and trends.
• Oversee application development and ensure security compliance.
• Manage data governance and architecture standards across internal and third-party services.
• Drive performance management and development of your team.

• Strong strategic mindset with ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
• Expertise in data architecture, IT data management, and business requirements analysis.
• Tech-savvy with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborative leader who ensures accountability and optimizes processes.

• Proven track record in leading data architecture and delivering transformational change.
• Experience in regulated environments and architecture governance.
• Technical experience around the Microsoft stack including Azure
• Experience of leading / managing a team
