Salary: Highly Competitive

Are you a qualified private client solicitor with experience or an interest in succession and tax planning? Do you have experience working with clients who own landed estates or rural businesses? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Role
A leading private client-focused firm is seeking an experienced solicitor or tax advisory professional to join its Tax & Succession team. This team specialises in advising landed estates, rural businesses, and high-net-worth families on complex ownership and asset structuring arrangements.

You will provide comprehensive advice on estate planning, succession planning, trusts, and asset protection, as well as assist with estate administration and drafting legal documents. Collaboration is key—you’ll work alongside experts in property, business law, charity law, family law, and litigation to deliver holistic solutions to clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • Scottish qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE (or equivalent experience).
  • We welcome applications from solicitors qualified in England & Wales and tax advisory professionals with relevant experience.
  • Strong technical and practical skills, with commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex work independently.
  • A full STEP membership or willingness to complete the STEP diploma (funded by the firm).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, and empathy when dealing with clients.

Why Join?

  • Work with a highly respected team in a supportive, collegiate environment.
  • Access to outstanding training and career development opportunities.
  • Hybrid working options and flexibility for part-time arrangements.
  • Be part of a firm with an unrivalled reputation and long-standing client relationships.
