Initially supporting implementation of SAP Ariba, as part of the source‑to‑award solution, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful, on‑time and on‑cost delivery of the project.
- Reports to VCM Programme Manager for direction, escalation and discussion of progress.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the VCM Product Owner to ensure that deployed solutions are fit for purpose on all sites.
- Builds relationships and influences internal stakeholders in all Leonardo UK Electronics sites.
- Maintains and updates the Business Case through the project lifecycle.
- Manages external subcontractor(s) that contribute to the delivered solutions.
- Reports project performance in full accordance with the reviews.
- Leads a multi‑function Leonardo team to deliver project goals on time, quality and budget.
- Identifies and manages dependencies with other Future Factory Programmes.
- Anticipates and manages risks, responds to changes, implements risk mitigation strategies and informs Programme Manager of risk status.
- Identifies key milestones, tracks progress and ensures on‑time delivery.
- Ensures developed solution is compliant with business requirements through regular engagement with stakeholders and key users.
- Works with Senior Change Lead to develop and implement an adoption strategy including a communications plan and any other change initiatives.
- Drives the transformational change process necessary to ensure people fully exploit the delivered solutions.
- Ensures benefits and value creation are core to delivery and are articulated and documented.
- Experience delivering digital transformation with tools and methodology for successful business launch.
- Experience delivering business improvement initiatives, including management of external partners.
- Ability to lead and motivate a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver required results.
- Ability to innovate and create efficient working methods from “Business As Usual” processes.
- Wide knowledge and experience across the product lifecycle.
- Skillful engagement and influence of stakeholders at varied seniority levels.
- Knowledgeable in change management and experienced in leading projects that are successfully adopted.
- Analytical ability to optimise implementation options for maximum business return.
- Experience in a commercial or procurement environment is an advantage.
