* Job Summary:

** Note that this role is a maternity cover for ~12 months.

The Data & Recon Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of intelligence gathering, data analysis, and strategic decision-making. They must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in technical tools, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires effective leadership, adaptability to changing environments, and a commitment to ethical conduct and data privacy. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
** Responsibilities:
** Designs and implements the team's training and development plan to enhance skillsets and knowledge. Leads and mentors other team members, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for skill and knowledge development.

* Required Skills:

** Proven project management skills and ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Proven ability to analyse information and anticipate outcomes to choose the best solutions.

Deep understanding of the team's work and the technologies used to do it. This includes knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and data quality assurance. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.  Exceptional problem-solving abilities.  ability to motivate and inspire team members, as well as provide them with the guidance and support they need to be successful.

* Education and Experience:

** 4+ years of relevant experience leading an operational team in a relevant industry- finance, accounting, or tech.  Proven leadership experience within a cross-functional capacity.

Prior experience/familiarity in SQL preferred. An understanding of database concepts and information models is critical.
