The opportunity

A great opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a network of automated depots across the Edinburgh region. The role suits someone who enjoys a mix of electrical and mechanical work, thrives in a fast-paced automated environment, and is confident working independently across multiple sites. You will help keep mission‑critical sortation equipment running safely, reliably and efficiently to support continuous operations.

Key

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, carrying out detailed electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
  • Complete ad hoc repair tasks across all types of sortation and conveyor equipment.
  • Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in line with maintenance schedules and standards.
  • Carry out servicing activities and accurately complete service reports and updates on internal maintenance systems.
  • Use SCADA and related control systems to support fault diagnosis and resolution.

You will also bring:

  • Experience in a fast‑paced automated or distribution environment, with strong electrical and mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability, with the resilience to work under pressure and within tight time frames.
