Due to a forthcoming retirement, a vacancy has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team at Riccarton General Practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic Practice Nurse to provide excellent patient care.

• Management of long-term conditions
• Opportunity to carry out nurse triage and treatment of minor illness
• Cervical screening
• Wound management
• Delivery of lifestyle advice and health promotion
• Opportunity to develop skills in sexual health and be trained in LARC

Salary is dependent on knowledge and experience. This is a permanent position; hours are negotiable, between 24-37 hours per week.

Situated within Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Campus, we have a practice population of approx. 10,000 patients comprising of University students and local residents from the surrounding area, meaning the case mix is diverse and interesting.

In addition, we provide medical services to Heriot-Watt University, which includes occupational health services and First Aid training to University staff.
