In this position, you will play a key role in selling our full range of building material products. Previous sales experience in a similar role within a builder’s merchant environment is essential.

• Providing quotations for customers
• Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
• Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
• Taking a proactive approach to building product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale
• Using a customer relationship management system
• Generating new business with existing and new customers
• Upselling and gap analysis on existing customers
• Cold calling
• Lead qualifying
• Quote follow up

• Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self‑driven, positive attitude
• Sound building supplies knowledge is required
• Previous sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is a necessity
• Confident dealing with customers
• Ability to build great customer relationships
• A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
