Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will bring strong project management and estimating experience, technical expertise, and the ability to lead projects from planning through completion.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
  • Coordinate meetings, submit deliverables, and manage open items with clients
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and billing documentation
  • Monitor job costs against budgets and report regularly to management
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and materials within deadlines
  • Conduct field evaluations and take-offs for estimate preparation
  • Participate in estimate review sessions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare bills of material and support purchasing activities
  • Submit and track change orders as required
  • Collaborate closely with construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations
  • Your strengths include:
  • 3+ years of project management and estimating experience in the electrical industry
  • Red Seal Electrician certification (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, specifications, and construction documentation
  • Ability to interpret civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid or equivalent)
  • Experience preparing schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
