Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability while supporting project success from inception to completion. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for substation and electrical construction projects

Review project documents for accuracy and consistency

Conduct field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction teams to assess constructability

Perform field take-offs and evaluations for estimate preparation

Participate in estimate review meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Assist project teams throughout the lifecycle in understanding and tracking cost estimates

Prepare and submit change orders as required

Support project close-out by reviewing and refining estimating processes

Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations

Your strengths include:

1-3 years of experience in estimating electrical construction projects

Red Seal Electrician certification (preferred)

Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and installation methods

Ability to interpret civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans and specifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software; experience with Bluebeam Revu and Accubid Anywhere (preferred)

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain focus

Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
