Project Coordinator Commercial Construction

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator in the Commercial Construction Industry.

Our client is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team. The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager assists in the coordinating, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting and quality control.

Project Coordinator responsibilities:

Supporting tendering and bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, utilities and site services applications, permit applications, quantity take-offs, assisting in development of the project communication plan and managing project schedule

Project execution and document control responsibilities including RFI, Site Submittals, Change Requests and Change Orders

Project closeout responsibilities including assisting with inspections, owner training, managing the O&M Manuals, reviewing, tracking and communicating punch and deficiency lists, removing all insurance, closeout of utilities and site services, and removing temporary facilities

Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan

Track productivity and performance of the project

Support and grow ongoing trade partner and client relationships

The successful candidate has:

Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a Construction related discipline (equivalent of education and experience may be considered)

3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or related position in commercial construction industry

A strong understanding of construction and safety practices and ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with project management software

Ability to communicate effectively with various individuals/stakeholders (written and verbal)

Strong organizational skills utilizing time management techniques to meet commitments

Ability to adapt and respond to changing needs and effectively troubleshoot and resolve problems/issues as they arise

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and strong relationships, committed to providing a high level of customer service

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Capable of making complex, decisions in a deadline-driven environment.

The ability to Interpret technical drawings and specifications

Compensation and benefits:

The discussed salary range is $65,000 – $100,000, depending on experience.

Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
