- Education:
Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry - Experience:
3 years to less than 5 years Tasks - Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
- Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
- Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Advise patients on health care
- Be the patient advocate Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- College of Family Physicians Certification in Emergency Medicine - CCFP(EM) Specialization in family practice
- Family counselling
- Geriatrics
- Internal medicine
- Pediatrics
