This role is ideal for a professional engineer who is eager to work on diverse and impactful projects within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGAMinimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administrationWorking knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systemsProficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysisDemonstrated aptitude for general construction methodsStrong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projectsProven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphereSelf-motivated with leadership potentialExcellent verbal and written communication skillsResponsibilities:
Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completionPerform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration dutiesDevelop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documentsConduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standardsLiaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project successCoordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplinesProvide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologistsWe
