Maintenance Manager – Edmonton

Join IPEX by Aliaxis as a Maintenance Manager in our Edmonton plant. This role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Lead and coordinate preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of production equipment and physical plant. Safely minimize downtime while maintaining a safety-first culture.

• Ensure a safety-first culture and support company safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
• Implement site safe work rules and conduct annual reviews.
• Conduct Management of Change (MOC) reviews for new equipment.
• Schedule and maintain the preventative maintenance (PM) program using IPEX supplied software.
• Lead and develop maintenance staff, conduct annual performance reviews.
• Prioritize plant priorities on breakdowns, projects, and PMs.
• Manage on-call program to reduce production downtime.
• Maintain and improve the 5S program.
• Use and oversee Plant CMMS for accurate work orders.
• Manage spare part inventory program.
• Champion maintenance expenditure and AFE’s.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Report and achieve KPI targets.
• Maintain contractor management program.
• Plan and manage shutdown maintenance.
• Provide training and support on safety and technical programs.

• College or university degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant trade diplomas.
• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of engineering concepts and extensive experience with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, machining, and welding.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, CAD systems and SCADA.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
