We are hiring QC inspectors for field opportunities for projects in Spring and Summer 2026.
Field Services operations of Koch-Glitsch Canada LP, based out of Edmonton, is a nationwide leader in inspection, repair, and installation of mass transfer equipment and combustion equipment. As a QC Inspector, you will independently, or working with a team of other QC Inspectors, perform quality planning, inspections and reporting on projects as below:
Comply and ensure compliance with project documents, welding procedures, ASME, CSA Codes, customer specifications.Development and execution of inspection plansPerforming quality control activities on pressure vessels, mass transfer equipment, combustion equipment, and pressure piping as per plansMaterial receiving, inspection, review and approve Material Test ReportsMonitoring and inspection of field welds for conformance with the WPS and project specificationsPerform visual and physical checks on final welds, flange assembly and equipment installationRequesting, scheduling and oversight of third party NDE contractors.Review and approve Non-Destructive Inspection reports.Ensure relevant information has been accurately recorded such as welder , NDE and redlining.Implementation and maintenance of flange and weld tracking logs and mappingOwnership of project quality documents, NCR’s and RFI’sInteraction with KG / JZ engineering, client, and third-party authorized inspectorsIdentify and implement client’s quality deliverables in project quality execution.Provide technical experience and mentoring to all team membersExpectations:

High School diploma or equivalentCWB Level 2 certification7+ years of experience in pressure equipment repair and alteration in field and shutdowns, including a minimum of 5+ years performing a quality roleFamiliarity, ability to access relevant information and interpret provincial (ABSA) regulations, ASME, CSA codes.Familiarity with non-destructive examination, welding methods, flange inspection and assemblyGood understanding of welding procedures and performance qualification variables.Understand engineering drawings – GA, assembly drawings, ISO and P&IDsComfortable working in MS SharePoint environment and good proficiency with MS Office softwareExperience working with Blue Beam Revu and similar PDF markup softwareGood planning, organizing and leadership skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsHealth and safety consciousWhat will put you ahead
-Welding / pipe fitting trades OR NDE certifications or experience OR degree / diploma in welding technology
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to work long hours and all shift schedules that may require up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week for extended durations.Candidates also must be able to work in confined spaces and be capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and working at heights.Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.Respiratory Protection Fit-Testing is required. Additional medical examinations, such as Fitness for Duty exams may be required per client guidelines. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful.Work Environment
The job will primarily be on or around construction/turnaround sites in petrochemical operational units and include possible hazardous environments such as confined spaces and working osure to loud noises, dust, dirt, irritants, and smoke may occur. Special Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary to control some hazardous environments. Additional forms of PPE may be required depending on the particular project.
Safety requirements must be verified and meet standards set forth by client permits, policies and procedures, and be performed in compliance with all federal, provincial and local laws or ordinances before work activities can begin.
