We are seeking a CMT Field Technician to join our Beaumont, TX team! The successful hire will have 1-3 years of previous construction materials testing or construction related experience with a minimum of an ACI Field 1 certification required and TXDOT 1A or 1B certification would be a plus. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs construction‑related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Senior Engineer.
  • Travels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Southeast Texas area with the potential for overnight and/or weekend as needed.
  • Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in‑field decision making.
  • Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set‑up.
  • Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
  • Performs field quality control tests of in place concrete.
  • Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks, and assists other departments as necessary.
  • Follows Atlas’ safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of previous construction materials testing experience
  • ACI Certification required
  • Construction Experience.
  • TXDOT is a plus.
  • Willing to learn and work any shift that is needed.
